Steel parts for bridges, steel elements for building construction, steel beams for industry – the destinations of the huge quantities of steel in the Luxembourgian inland port of Mertert vary.

What they all have in common is that their transport is handled by Lorang SA with flatbed trailers of the brand MAX Trailer.

The latest version in the vehicle fleet, which encompasses around 120 vehicles, is a new 3-axle MAX210 flatbed trailer with hydraulically steered axles and double extension.

The vehicle can be extended up to a loading platform length of 29 metres, while still remaining extremely manoeuvrable. Lorang masters tight corners or convoluted entrances effortlessly with these flatbeds.

Manoeuvrable despite long load

Due to the location in Central Europe, Lorang's various destinations are quickly reached from Mertert. The company takes care of all road transport tasks within the operating company, Luxport Group, which is based in Mertert.

When steel rolls on steel, the material is subject to great stresses. The "MAX" vehicles also account for this fact. Although their tare weight is very low, they are robust and simple to maintain. Handling is easy and intuitive for the drivers.
